Laser Treatment: What are laser treatments?
Laser treatments (AKA pulse dye laser, Q-switched YAG laser, laser photoablation, and laser photocoagulation) reduce the color in skin marks (moles, nevi, birthmarks, broken blood vessels, and tattoos). Colored laser light matched to the pigment of the mark being treated is passed through the superficial layers of the skin reducing the color of the lesion. People with prominent moles, birth marks, nevi, broken blood vessels, tattoos due to aging, sun damage, or injury (tattoos), turn to laser treatment to reduce or remove these unsightly marks.
