Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery

Certification American Board of Plastic Surgery is a 2-year process beginning after completion of an approved, 3-year plastic surgery training program. Dr. Bashioum became a board certified plastic surgeon after receiving his plastic surgery training at Northwestern University.

The first step is a 6-hour, daylong exam. Admission to the oral exam requires two years of experience and it includes the submission of a full year's case list with complete summaries including before and after photographs of 12 of these procedures. This submitted material is used for the first of two 45-minute oral exams.
