Tattoo Removal for Youth, a Community Service Program

Dr. Bashioum co-founded the T.R.Y. Program (Tattoo Removal for Youth) at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. This program provides free laser tattoo removal to area youth. Most of these adolescents are marked with gang-related tattoos. This program gives them a second chance by removing the stigma of gang markings, while encouraging education, job placement, and rehabilitation toward healthier social choices. T.R.Y. was featured recently on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather.
